From Struggle to Triumph: Chini Maya's Inspirational Journey

Chini Maya is a resilient Nepali woman and mother. She is driven by hopes and dreams for a better future despite her family's challenging circumstances. When life was at rock bottom, Chini Maya received a lifeline in the form of an invitation to join a BSF family-strengthening program. Her family are now forever grateful for the positive transformation they have experienced.

Chini Maya is married to a hardworking man named Kamal, and together they have three adorable bright-eyed children whom they love very much. However, despite their best efforts, Chini Maya and Kamal continued to struggle financially and were having a difficult time providing for their family.

Facing the harsh realities of daily financial struggles, they worked long hours together, tirelessly labouring, their hands calloused from hard work. They strived to provide enough food for their children and to pay the school fees for their education. The burden seemed insurmountable at times, casting shadows of uncertainty over their dreams.

But hope was rekindled when BSF heard of their situation and invited them to join an 18-month family strengthening program in Dukuchhap, Nepal. Every BSF program aims to empower families like Chini Maya's so they can help themselves become more financially sustainable. Therefore, during the program, Chini Maya and her family were blessed with what they desperately wanted and needed...a precious gift of a buffalo and three goats to help them generate more income to provide for their children.

With renewed determination, Chini Maya and her husband worked hard to take good care of their newfound livestock. After six months of unwavering commitment, their efforts bore fruit. They sold one of their buffaloes for more than three times the initial purchase price! The windfall brought joy and relief to their family.

With the profit earned, they made wise decisions. A portion was set aside for the future, a testament to their newfound financial planning and training with BSF. They also invested in the well-being of their children, ensuring they had the necessary resources for education and development. Wisely, they also reinvested a portion of their earnings to purchase a new buffalo calf. This symbolized the continuation of their journey towards financial sustainability.

Chini Maya and Kamal were immensely thankful to BSF for lighting up their path in the darkest of times. The BSF program had not only provided them with a means of sustenance but also reignited a hope and resilience to help guide them through life's trials.

Thank you for everything."
